Bucks County Free Libraries The Mission of the Bucks County Free Library is to acquire and make available to users printed and audio-visual materials for their enjoyment and learning. In addition, mediated information services and programs for children and adults are also available through the unified system of seven libraries and three service departments. In 1979, Commonwealth Libraries designated the County Library as the District Library Center for which it compensates it for planning, lending, reference and consulting services. In 1986, the County Library and County Community College formed the Bucks County Library Network to provide computerized services that have been extended to all 18 public libraries. The foundation of the Network is a digitized catalog created by the Technical Services Dept., which displays the holdings in each library Find local library info... |

Marriage Licenses In most circumstances you may apply for a marriage license at any county clerk's office in the state where you plan to be married. These offices are usually located in the county probate court or circuit court. In Pennsylvania the fee to receive your license is $25 - 40. The waiting period between applying for your license and receiving your license is 3 Days. In a few states after you receive your license you must wait a short period of time before getting married. Pennsylvania law allows you to get married Immediately after officially receiving your marriage license. Marriage licenses are like milk; even if you don't use it immediately, eventually it will go sour. Pennsylvania marriage licenses expire after 60 Days. If your license expires before you tie the knot, you can reapply for another license. For More Info... |

Pennsylvania Game Commission The Commission is responsible for managing all of Pennsylvania's wild birds and mammals. One of the agency's more visible examples of wildlife management is species reintroductions. The Commission has successfully reintroduced beavers, river otters, elk, bald eagles, ospreys and peregrine falcons. Your chance of seeing one of these species is greater today than ever because of these efforts. Other examples include managing endangered species, constructing and placing nest structures for bluebirds and wood ducks; gating caves to protect important bat colonies, performing field studies on a variety of wildlife; and conducting wildlife censuses and surveys.
